Hearts En Français - using Stampin' Up! ® products

I had a fantastic class last night. It was the first time in a new venue, Eastcote Community Centre. There were 11 lovely ladies there, so we wouldn't have all fit in my dining room, hence the change in venue.

It was great seeing new faces and welcoming back some of my regular ladies. So thank you ladies for coming and for making it such a great class. I look forward to seeing you all next month (February 27th). If you are local and would like to join the class you can find more details on my Class page here

As Valentine's Day is around the corner, I decided one of the cards should be a Valentine's card but also one that could be used for other occasions. This is what I came up with.

I cut a heart shaped aperture in a card blank with the Hearts framelits and then cut out the heart frame using two framelits at the same time. I then cut a heart out of vellum and stamped over this with the En français background stamp. The banner stamped in real red is from the Banner Blast set, which you can earn free during Sale-a-bration. There is a co-ordinating banner punch, which you can also earn for free! How cool is that?

I had tried out a variation on the colour scheme. Which one do you prefer? I like the black heart with the red banner (which is why I chose it for the class - it's so great being my own boss! lol)

For these cards you will need:

Stamps: En français background stamp, Banner Blast
Inks: Stazon Black, Real Red
Card Stock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red, Vellum paper
Embellishments: White Baker's twine and Rhinestones

  1. It was a great evening Tracy- the room was alive with creativity. My Auntie's birthday is on 14th Feb and I always send her a hand-crafted card with a heart and this year I will be sending her the card I made at your class. Looking forward to the next class already. x
