Pinkies Blog Hop! - using Stampin' Up! ® products

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Spring/Summer Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

If you have arrived here from Caroline's blog, welcome. I hope you have enjoyed seeing what we have all been busy creating.

It's my husband's birthday in a few weeks and for once I am prepared, probably because I wanted to take part in this blog hop! I thought the Retro Fresh DSP together with the Starburst Sayings Stampset and co-ordinating framelits from the new Spring/Summer catalogue would make the ideal gift wrap and card for my husband's gift/card from the Bedlam Brothers (aka Regan and Lewis, my two young sons).

My husband is a big fan of the 1970's. His favourite tv drama is "The Sweeney", which is a British cop show from the mid-70's. When I saw the brown, orange and yellow in the Retro Fresh DSP I instantly thought of the 70's. I think the Coastal Cabana adds a lovely modern twist.

Anyway, I have bought the DVD of a modern remake of one of the original Sweeney films. I used the envelope punch board to create a DVD envelope/gift wrap from the Retro Fresh DSP and decorated it with a belly band featuring the Starburst Sayings stamps.

I made a co-ordinating birthday card too.

To recreate these projects you will need:

Stamps: Starburst Sayings
Card Stock: Baked Brown Sugar, Very Vanilla,
DSP: Retro Fresh
Inks: So Saffron, Coastal Cabana, Tangerine Tango
Tools: Paper Piercing Mat and tool, Starburst Framelits, Envelope Punch Board

So next stop is Caro's blog, why don't you go and take a peek at what she has been up to? Thanks for stopping by........
