Gorgeous and Pretty Grunge using Stampin' Up! ® products

I've been feeling indecisive the last couple of weeks. It may be that we are all feeling a bit unsettled at home at the moment, with starting school and a new playgroup - oh and some teething thrown in to keep us all awake at night too!!

Anyway I wanted to share the projects we made last Thursday in class. As I said, I have been a bit indecisive lately and this reflected itself in trying to choose the colour scheme for my designs. I love girly, feminine designs but its not something that I normally tend to make myself. I seem to end up at the clean and simple end of the craft theme spectrum, but I really wanted to use some ribbon and come up with a pretty look. I tried out to colour schemes and I really like both. I wasn't sure which one the ladies would prefer so in the end I decided to let them chose which one they wanted to make. Both schemes were chosen and one lady even decided to mix it up a little and do combine the two.

My first colour scheme was Soft Suede and Blushing Bride. I used Blushing Bride Core'dinations Card Stock for the tag, which I sanded prior to stampin with Soft Suede ink. The background is Gorgeous Grunge stamped in Whisper White Craft ink. I think the Chevron ribbon is the perfect ribbon for this tag!

I then tried out Crumb Cake and Marina Mist. This time I heat embossed the image on the Core'dinations tag. The background is Gorgeous Grunge stamped in Crumb Cake. I also stamped the poppy from Simply Sketched on the card, first in crumb cake and then I overstamped with Versamark and heat embossed in white. I removed some of the versamark from the stamp before stamping to get a broken image to show some of the crumb cake ink below.

I have a confession! There was originally a celophane bag in the Marina Mist one with some chocoloate in. They didn't last long enough to make it into the photo! Ooops.

We also made another card with some DSP but I seem to have neglected to take any photos of those. I will have to get them out and take some pictures in the morning when the light is better.

For now though, if you would like to make these projects you can buy all the products used in my Online store here (Click the Shop button top right once you're on my Stampin' Up! site). The Simply Sketched Stamp set is a Hostess only stamp set that can be redeemed with hostess rewards. Don't forget to use my mystery hostess code if your order is under £150.
