Feel Better Soon Butterflies - using Stampin' Up! ® products

Good morning everyone. The sun is shining again and we are off to surprise my mum by meeting her at the train station later today. It's hard to contain two small boys, who are so excited that Nannie is coming for a sleepover! Hopefully a trip on the tube will help with that!

Today's project is one I should have made a few weeks ago, but I have been a bit behind with my projects. Better late than never though I say. I wanted to make a pretty, kind of, but not quite shabby chic card. Why I give myself these specs I don't know lol!!

I stamped the background Dictionary stamp (wood or clear) in Coastal Cabana onto Core-dinations Whisper White. I then stamped over with Gorgeous Grunge (wood or clear) and a home made Beautiful Butterflies Bigz stamp I made using the Undefined Stamp carving kit. I used both Crumb Cake and Coastal Cabana for that. I then sanded the card stock using the SU sanding block and stitched it to a layer of Fresh Prints DSP which I had sanded around the edges and sponged with Crumb Cake.

Then I simply cut the 3 butterflies using the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die. The sentiment is from the Hostess only set Express Yourself (wood or clear) stamped on Whisper White Core-dinations, which was then sanded and sponged with Crumb Cake. I finished off the butterflies with some Linen Thread and a single Pearl on two of the butterflies.

This card will be in the post first thing Saturday heading off to someone in the US. I love the fact that with Stampin' Up! you can (virtually) meet people from different places in the world.
