Groovy Love from Stampin' Up!

On Saturday evening, my upline Michelle Last, held an online party on our Facebook group. Wow - it was so much fun. She ran some card making challenges and games to win prizes. It was fast and fabulous! I am thinking of doing one on my own Facebook page sometime - after the Summer holidays I think!

One of her challenges was to make a card using DSP, one stamp set, one punch, it had to have some pink in it and also a button. There was a time limit too! I'm no good when it comes to crafting to a time limit but I threw something together that wasn't too bad.

I used the new Groovy Love rubber stamp set from Stampin' Up!® available in wood or clear.

I also used the new Typeset DSP! I have since changed the card I made by adding the black heart cut using the hearts framelits and I took off the button and replaced it with a Melon Mambo candy dot to match the heart.

Another challenge was to make a tag that had to use a border punch. I decided to stick with Groovy Love and grabbed the new Hearts Border punch to create a little trim. I used Blushing Bride as the colour scheme and finished off with some Blushing Bride Chevron Ribbon.

Not too shabby considering the adrenaline was pumping - it was such a fun event though!

It's the last day of term today. I'm making a quick trip to Ikea to stock up on their box frames for some gifts I need to make over the summer, before preparing for an end of term BBQ for the boys and some of their friends. The Mum's are invited to stay as well - my husband is convinced the event is more for me than for the boys!! Lol - he's probably not wrong.

I'll be back on Friday but in the mean time check out this week's Weekly deals
